Workshop with Friedrich Rückert Gymnasium
Within the course about "hate" conceived by Tim Bersowordt-Walrabe and Dr. Hatice Karacuban-Ilhan from Friedrich-Rückert Gymnasium, I had the opportunity to give a short term class about activism on apparel and clothing – where it comes from and how to do it yourself. The idea was to focus on social topics the teenagers want to bring to the streets by shirts they are wearing: From Female Empowerment, Anti-Racism, Pacifistic Views, Selfcare and Anti-Captalism Perspectives everyone could design and print their idea on 2nd hand clothing. With the help of photographer Ludovic Schuld we shot a small lookbook with all designs made in the 3 days workshop.

Be Loud – Democracy Now! – Workshop
I had the opportunity to give a workshop with youngsters and young adults according possibilities and disadvantages of the Kommunalwahl in Düsseldorf, Germany. Together as an participating approach we set up a digital and poster campaign, printed protest t-shirts, had discussions with professionals from the field and learned so much from each other. The workshop was suppored by the Ministerium für Kultur und Wissenschaft NRW, LAG Soziokultur NRW, Zakk Düsseldorf, Caritas Düsseldorf und dem Projekt Düsseldorfer Falken.
"Don't Believe The Hype" – A workshop about consumerism
Together with Filmwerkstatt Düsseldorf & Zakk Düsseldorf and the illustrator Max Fiedler we created a workshop about critical consuming for kids in the age from 6 to 18 years. In times of overpriced products and limited editions everywhere we came up with an own (fictional) brand called "Selfness" using all those marketing tools the fashion industry uses to create a buzz around it.
"Don' Believe The Hype" – was a 2 weeks workshop to shape a critical view on social media and consumerism in fashion and lifestyle of young adults. Why do we think: "I need this?" Who is the sender, who the receiver? And how do brands shape our values? After insights from a social scientistic view and analysing recent social media campaigns from life style brands, we thought of trying to create a self made fashion hype. We created a collection, the prints where drawings by the kids; Shot a lookbook, with the kids as models; Photographed the products, motives printed on 2nd hand cloth from the kids wardrobe; Set up a online shop, where everything was sold out from the beginning; Bought followers and likes, to look bigger online; Informed local newspapers, who wrote about it; Made posters and a digital campaign promoting the store opening. At the event we informed everyone attending, that everything they read and heard about was a hoax.

We Are One – Apparel for a good cause
Workshop with 10th grade students of Friedrich-Rückert Gymnasium to create an collective artwork and merchandise for their school with the main message "We Are One". All 30 students were able to design their own graphic and message on social and humanitarian topics – all together ended up as one back print for a soli-t-shirt. In the big break everyone from the school could get a shirt printed by the students themselves.Later on the students organised a bring-your-own-t-shirt pop-up event printing those shirts to collect donations for a social initiative according the earthquake happened around Turkey and Syria.
